The “I Hear America Singing" concert marks the first time the St. Augustine Orchestra is performing with the St. Augustine Community Chorus. It celebrates the 70th Anniversary of SACC and will feature more than 100 musicians on-stage!
The program highlights the deep and diverse fabric of the American musical experience and its composers. The program will feature music by iconic American composers George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, and Leonard Bernstein as well as selections representing the American folk and patriotic traditions. Two memorable pieces will be Hymn To the Fallen, written by John Williams for the movie "Saving Private Ryan", as a tribute to the 75th anniversary of D-day this June. Lincoln Portrait will be narrated by a local celebrity.
